A paltry 1% pay rise for the public sector Amid all the furore around Brexit the Tories quietly announced today a 1% pay rise for public sector workers, a below inflation rise. The pay rise for NHS staff, doctors, dentists and the armed forces comes at a time when inflation is predicted to rise to almost 3% according to the Bank Of England.
